I will soon be a single-subject English teacher in high school. I went to UC Davis for a B.A. in English Literature and Creative Writing, with a minor in Anthropology. I wanted to be an archaeologist (like Indiana Jones), but my love for books and writing brought me down the teacher path. I used to tutor elementary and high school students in 2015, but quit to pursue my credential. I currently teach middle school English, specializing in English Learners and Reading classes. I love teaching to a class, but being a teacher means less one-on-one time with my students. That's what I love about tutoring; I can spend my time with a few students to make sure they get the proper attention and material they need to achieve their full potential

I love Harry Potter, and in my spare time I like to read new books. I go antique shopping, and have a tea habit. I'm more of a quiet person, who would rather stay in with a good book or go hiking on the weekends. It's scary to be a student online, not knowing who your tutor might be. I was the quiet and shy person in school, and I fully understand how nerve-racking a tutoring experience can be. I'm not here to only help you to learn English, I'm also here to provide support and help you become more confident in your education. You will always find me warm and welcoming.
