I want to be a tutor because I love to work with kids and see them improve not only academically but also personally. For me, a tutor fills a different role than teachers and parents that puts them in a unique position to support students. Building personal relationships with students are especially important to me because I believe the more connected a student feels to his or her tutor, the more the tutor creates trust and respect. When I listen and spend time building a relationship with my students, I can truly personalize the learning to teach to the student's strengths and minimize the student's weaknesses. During my free time, I love to travel because I believe the only way for me to learn more about the world and other people is to experience it myself. I have been to a total of 26 countries and I can't wait to explore more magical places in the future. I also enjoy biking, hiking, and swimming.
