Experience
My last teaching position was at Chapman University where I taught several English writing courses to four-year-college students. Prior to that, I was a private English tutor and a fully qualified preschool teacher (33 units in early childhood education, in addition to my bachelor's degree). I had started as an English teacher/tutor at Best Way Education in Irvine where I taught small classes and tutored one-on-one with students ages 8-13 (3rd grade to 8th grade). I myself was a gifted honors student from elementary through high school. I hold a TESOL Certification (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and am qualified to teach ESL students. I have also passed the CBEST exam, which qualifies me to teach as a substitute teacher in California public schools. I really enjoy working with children, teenagers, and adults. It's rewarding to help them learn and do well in their studies. I love English, which includes reading and writing, and can also tutor high school and college students in English. I have worked as both a book editor and web editor so my writing, editing, and grammar skills are excellent.
